T2 corporate income tax software, CRA-certified
Prepare the T2 return, its schedules and GIFI financial statements, check them against the CRA's rules, and transmit them by T2 Internet filing — in the browser or on the desktop.
Who must file
All resident corporations file a T2 for every tax year, even when there is no tax payable — except tax-exempt Crown corporations, Hutterite colonies and registered charities. A non-resident corporation files one when, at any time in the year, it carried on business in Canada, had a taxable capital gain or disposed of taxable Canadian property.
Deadline
The T2 is due within six months of the end of the tax year: a year ending December 31 is due by June 30. Any balance owing is generally due two months after the year end, or three months for a Canadian-controlled private corporation that meets the conditions.

Frequently asked questions
Is AuraTax certified for T2 Internet filing?
Yes. AuraTax is on the CRA's list of software certified for T2 Corporation Internet Filing, and each tax year's version carries its own CRA software approval code.
Do I have to file the T2 electronically?
For tax years starting after 2023, most corporations must file electronically. The exceptions are insurance corporations, non-resident corporations, corporations reporting in a functional currency and corporations exempt from tax under subsection 149(1).
Does AuraTax handle corporations in Québec and Alberta?
Yes. The T2 goes to the CRA as for any corporation, and the provincial return is prepared separately in AuraTax: the CO-17 for Revenu Québec and the AT1 for Alberta.
Can I amend a T2 that was already filed?
Yes. Open the filed return in AuraTax, correct it and transmit the amended return electronically.
How much does it cost to file a T2 with AuraTax?
Preparing the return is free. You pay when you transmit it: one T2 return at a time, or every return of every program with the yearly licence. Both prices are shown on this page and on the pricing page, before taxes.
Can I file the T2 on a Mac or on Linux?
Yes. AuraTax runs in the browser, and the desktop app installs on Windows, macOS and Linux with the same programs, for files you prefer to keep on your own machine.
